A teacher formerly with the Shawnee Mission School District has been charged with having “unlawful sexual relations” with several of her students. Upon hearing of this story I couldn’t help but think of Lew Rockwell’s post on the LRC blog about the recent shooting at an Ohio government school. In it he quoted Ed Lebeau, who wrote: “No home schoolers were included among the victims of the shootings….”
So, in the same vein, no home schoolers were among the students who had sex with this teacher. I can’t say confidently that no home schooler has ever had sex their teacher, but I’m willing to bet that a much larger percentage of government-schooled children have had affairs with their teachers than is true among free children home schoolers.

After letting my daughter attend Govt schooling for two years, I’m seriosuly looking for alternatives as they are failing her both socially and academically.
The problem is most private schools are too exspensive and with both parents working home schooling becomes much harder.
