Is it a little bit ironic that a court in New Mexico has ruled that a photographer in the State isn’t allowed to discriminate against a lesbian couple by refusing to provide them her services, but the State government may discriminate against them by refusing to grant a marriage license or acknowledge their civil union?
I mean, how is it any different than a state government effectively prohibiting blacks from eating in restaurants, and then upholding a fine imposed on a chef who declines to cook for a black family who asks him to cater their party?
