During a quick stop into my local grocery store I noticed these signs plastered all over the place. They were on canned goods, pasta, rice, diapers, meat, breakfast cereal and a whole host of necessities. I asked the manager about them and he said they were part of the chain’s latest marketing campaign. Obviously they’re seeing the effects of inflation and know that plenty of their customers are too, so they’re doing what they can to capitalize on consumers’ concerns over higher food prices.
