Thats what the GOP needs to do with this Fast and Furious business.
Today I caught about ten minutes of Rush Limbaugh (gross, I know, right?) and he was talking about bias in the media (big shocker there). A caller commented that many of the same news organizations that are now ignoring “Operation Fast and Furious” were calling for Ronald Reagan’s impeachment during the Iran-Contra affair. Limbaugh ran with it, and other than to point out that the individual reporters are different, agreed that what the man said was true.
Now this raises an interesting question: if Republicans believe Obama should be impeached over Fast and Furious, as some of them do, would these same Republicans be calling for the impeachment of Reagan, if the shoes were on different feet, as it were?
If not, as I suspect is the case, then it’s clear these GOP hacks are nothing more than partisans. They bloviate incessantly about the logical difficiencies and moral depravity of the Democrats, all the while worshipping a Sacred Calf equally as corrupted and despotic as the Evil One.
Not that evil can be so easily quantified, but it should at least pointed out that some 30,000 Nicaraguans died, along with three CIA agents, as a result of Iran-Contra. Fast and Furious has resulted in some 200 Mexicans and one border patrol agent being killed.

Agree! and also. Along this line, I am absolutely appalled that Oliver North is treated as a respectable, and by some heroic, “patriot.” What IS with that.

Sort of fitting he’s a contributor to FOX News, isn’t it?
