Growing in popularity, a synthetic substitute for marijuana has been labeled the latest “public health concern.” KCTV 5 ran a story on its website detailing the problems stemming from the use of the drug, which is said to be many times more dangerous than natural marijuana.
Here’s an idea: decriminalize pot and people will shift their consumption away from the more dangerous substance to the safer drug. Prohibiting drugs has been a colossal failure. If the government can’t keep drugs out of government schools and prisons, exactly how are they supposed to keep them out of the hands of anyone who wants to get high?
Also, a more pressing “public health concern” should be the increasingly violent and militaristic police forces that enforce the prohibition of drugs in general.
